Samuel has had several years experience of technology and consumer electronics journalism. In October 2008 he finally started a blog with his close friends Richard Tong and Ben Smith called Gadgets, Games and Stuff, which covered the consumer electronics, video games and technology space.
Later that year he became the the European and Technology Editor of PixelatedGeek.com, a blog dedicated to all things Geek including consumer electronics, video games and art. He relinquished his role as Technology Editor for Pixelated Geek in the summer of 2010, but remains the European Editor to this day.
In October 2009, Samuel became the Technology Editor of felix the award winning weekly Imperial College London student newspaper, which celebrated it's 60th year in print in 2010. Samuel manages a Deputy Editor, several Technology Reporters and a score of other contributors, a first for the felix technology section, expanding the coverage to make it a widely read, fully fledged weekly section of the paper.
In September 2010 Samuel joined Download Squad, part of the AOL Tech family, as an Associate Blogger, covering all aspects of high technology. He was later promoted to News Editor that year, taking on the US overnight shift, as well as editorial and backend duties. Unfortunately Download Squad was shuttered in 2011 by AOL, putting the staff of Download Squad, and its sister site Switched, out of a job.
In April 2011, Samuel joined another AOL tech property, TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog), writing about all things Apple including his familiar app reviews for both iOS and Mac OS. You can find a feed of Samuel's posts on TUAW here (RSS).
In September 2011 Samuel joined Future Publishing as the News Editor of Gizmodo UK, which was launched on the 29th of September 2011 covering technology, science and design with a British angle.
